What's that sound?
The Schmetterlinge group set out on an exciting journey of discovery to the Händel House in Halle. There, the children learned in a playful way about our city’s famous composer, Georg Friedrich Händel, as well as the instruments he played. Together, they explored the different sounds and discovered the places in Halle where they can still hear Händel’s music today. A special highlight was making music together using various Orff instruments. The children were able to try them out for themselves, create rhythms, and experience the joy of making music together.
The field trip tied in with the annual theme of “Orientation.” The children explored an important figure from their hometown and discovered cultural sites that shape Halle. In this way, they expanded their knowledge of their surroundings, developed an awareness of their cultural environment, and strengthened their sense of orientation in their city. With many new impressions and musical experiences, the Schmetterlinge group returned to the daycare center full of enthusiasm.
