Contemporary witness tour

The architecture of the foundations is not only unique, it also evokes memories for many people of a time when reconstruction seemed uncertain, yet many had the courage to tackle the task. With a new virtual tour, this history can now be experienced up close: in digital flipbooks with a before-and-after effect, with augmented reality (AR), with exciting information, iconic images and personal stories.

Die Thalsaline – The large salt pan in a 3D model

We have recorded every detail of the saltworks models from our Cabinet of Artefacts and Natural Curiosities, from the roof to the foundations, and transformed them into an interactive 3D model that visualises the salt production process. Explore the virtual 3D model of the large salt pan on Sketchfab and follow the animated process of salt boiling.

The limits of what can be said and shown: FAKKT »Gift«

In his contribution to the annual exhibition »Streit« (2023), Halle-based rapper FAKKT engages in a textual, acoustic and visual exploration of internal and external perspectives on »dissent«, deliberately playing with (in)visible masquerades. What is said and shown is intended as an interpretation of contemporary digital hate comments, which are processed (self-)critically in rap.
