Children at the Krokoseum engaging in imaginative free play: building a castle from wooden pieces, playing instruments or using dolls
Jörg GläscherFree Play at the Krokoseum – Imagination Unleashed with Wooden Castle, Instruments and Dolls[Translate to English:]

We invite children (6–12 years) to discover the world and help shape it. In our cultural educational offers in the afternoon they learn what is in them and which strengths they can develop.

About us

Our Concept

The hands-on programmes take children to the museum and the grounds of the historic school town. The wide range of creative activities covers art, literature, crafts, history and natural sciences. They address questions that are important to children:
Why is the sky blue? What do people eat and cook in winter when hardly anything grows? How is a real book made? How do I build a kite? And why is a museum exciting?

Your contact persons are trained educators. Art educators are also often involved in our projects. Many of the Krokoseum's activities are supported by volunteers. This allows us to gain many different skills in order to create very special additional activities and opportunities for children.

Our Partners

Our educational programme is complemented by a wide range of partnerships that broaden the children's cultural and scientific horizons and make their everyday lives varied and lively.
