School Social Work

We support pupils and teachers of the August Hermann Francke Primary School and the August Hermann Francke Secondary School in their everyday school life.

About us

In this way we contribute to strengthening the pupils and have a positive effect on the community at the school:

Consulting

We advise pupils and their families, as well as teachers and educational staff, on socio-educational issues. The focus is on the interests of the children and young people, as well as the school community.

Designing Transitions

We provide support in shaping the transition from starting school to vocational training.

Individual Support

School life is not always rosy. Our case management helps to find tailor-made solutions for pupils with special needs. Pupils receive individual support and are looked after by our staff.

Social Education Work with Groups

We enrich everyday school life with creative activities, social skills training, violence prevention, bullying intervention and much more.

Conflict Management

We provide support in dealing with a wide range of conflict situations. It is important to us that pupils also learn dispute resolution methods.

Democracy Education

We develop participatory formats, convey values of equal opportunities and provide information about children's and young people's rights.

Open Offers

We create low-threshold voluntary opportunities in the areas of culture, media, sport and leisure.

School-related Support

We provide school-related assistance
• in cases of special educational needs,
• in developing individual support plans with the school

Implement Networking

We connect the schools and institutions of the Francke Foundations with a wide range of cooperation partners. To ensure a holistic education, we organise our network as a multi-professional team.

Promoting Health

Health is an important foundation for participation in everyday school life that promotes development. We therefore pay particular attention to mental and physical components, strengthening self-competence, and educating pupils.

Education and Participation

We support families and teachers in applying for the ‘Education and Participation’ programme. This programme provides financial support for school trips and excursions, personal school supplies, transport costs, learning support, lunches or membership fees for sports, games, culture and community activities, as well as for lessons in artistic subjects and participation in leisure activities.
