Registration and Deregistration of full-day care
RWS Cateringservice GmbH provides meals for the children throughout the day. This includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks and fruit. The focus is on seasonal and fresh products from the region.
You can order or cancel meals for your child for the current day until 7:30 a.m. This can be done by telephone, email or online:
rws-gruppe.de/essenbestellung using your login details (participant number + PIN).
We have breakfast from 7:30 a.m. in a pleasant and cosy atmosphere. We have lunch at 11:00 a.m. We make sure that every child gets the same meal. The only exceptions are desserts and intolerances to certain ingredients. Tea, milk, juice and water are offered as drinks. The children are encouraged to drink as often as possible, but not to be wasteful.

My child is sick
In the event of illness, holidays or other days off for your child, please notify us as soon as possible by email or by calling +49 (0)345 21 27 502.
- Children who are suffering from a contagious illness or who have vermin infestation are not permitted to attend the nursery due to legal regulations.
- If your child has a contagious infectious disease, the childcare facility must be informed immediately.
- After the child has recovered, a medical certificate must be provided in the above cases to confirm that the child is healthy again and that there are no concerns about them attending the daycare centre. This also applies if the child has been sent home with the advice to see a doctor due to an acute illness.
- Children with diarrhoea, vomiting and fever must always be taken to see a paediatrician.
- As a general rule, no medication may be administered at the childcare facility. In exceptional cases, with the permission of the doctor and the parents, exceptions to this rule may be made.
For new admissions, we require a health certificate from the doctor, which must not be older than 3 weeks.

Toddler Group
The toddler group is part of our settling-in concept. It takes place between May and June for all parents and children who have been offered a place in our nursery group for the new nursery year (which always begins in August). Here, you and a nursery teacher have the opportunity to get to know each other in a playful way within the group.
Dates for 2026:
The new dates for 2026 will follow shortly.

Nursery ABC
The nursery ABC is designed to make it easier for you and us to work together when it comes to helping your child quickly settle in and feel at home in our facility.
First and foremost: spending short periods of time without mum or dad can be practised even before starting nursery. Occasional separation allows your child to gain confidence that they will not be abandoned by their parents. This has a particularly positive effect if you always return at the agreed time. Of course, we know that it is not easy for you as parents to separate from your child.
Therefore, we recommend that you explain to your child when you will pick them up and show them that you are looking forward to seeing them again.

Engagement
The Förderverein der Kita Amos Comenius e. V. support association provides effective support for the nursery's work and invites all parents to get actively involved.
You are also welcome to support us as parent representatives at the nursery.
In addition, our nursery offers the opportunity to complete a voluntary social year (FSJ) or a training-accompanying internship. You can find more information on this on the Franckesche Stiftungen careers page.
We look forward to having you on board!
